Store Hours
The store will be open on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s during lunch. Students are expected to have the store open no later than 12:10.
The store will close at 12:50 in order to give students enough time to complete closing procedures.
Students are expected to work one shift per week.

Evaluation
20% - Promotion/Advertising: Ongoing throughout the year.
20% - Individual Assignments: Assigned and graded at regular intervals. 20% - Group Projects: Consists of two major projects throughout the year. 40% - Performance: Consists of attendance and punctuality, sales skills, initiative, etc. |

Purpose
This course provides an introduction to the skills and practices found in a retailing or marketing career. Students will learn how to advertise, sell, promote and distribute products while maintaining relationships that satisfy the needs of both the consumer and the store. Retailing also offers the opportunity to start your own business or to work at an entry-level position that offers the potential for growth or promotion.
